NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court Friday refused to entertain a PIL looking for uniform education, having a common syllabus and curriculum for all the youngsters aged between 6-14 years, throughout the nation. A bench headed by Justice D Y Chandrachud advised the petitioner and BJP chief Ashwini Upadhyay that these are coverage issues and can’t be determined by the court docket.
“How can you ask the court to merge one board with the other? These are not the functions of the court,” the bench noticed .
While refusing to entertain the plea, the bench mentioned that the petitioner could go to the federal government with the plea.
The PIL has sough instructions to look into the feasibility of creating ‘One Nation One Education Board’ by merging the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Board and the Central Board of Secondary Education.
