New Delhi, PTI The Lok Sabha approved two Bills on Monday, the lower house of Parliament. One of them is the National Homeopathy Commission Bill 2020 (National Commission for Homoeopathy Bill 2020) to improve the quality of homoeopathy education, while the other is the Indian Medical System Commission Bill 2020 (National Commission for Indian System of Indian professionals related to medical practice across the country. Both these bills have already been passed in Rajya Sabha. Now after approval from Lok Sabha, these Bills will be sent to President Ram Nath Kovind for approval after which they will become law. Some opposition members opposed the bill, saying that the central government needs to have a wider discussion about it. Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that the proposed bill would prove to be a great help in better management of homeopathy and Indian medicine system.
The central government has stated that the proposed legislation would encourage inclusive healthcare. These laws will promote a sense of community health. The passage of these Bills will help encourage national health goals and allow medical professionals to adopt new studies. After the introduction of these bills, the National Indian Medical System Commission will be replaced by the Central Indian Medical Council and the National Homeopathy Commission will be formed in place of the Central Homeopathy Council.
