Manish Sisodia writes to Amit Shah, seeks instructions to LG to permit inns, weekly markets in Delhi

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, looking for instructions to LG Anil Baijal to permit inns and weekly markets within the metropolis. Sisodia’s letter comes a day after Baijal rejected the Arvind Kejriwal authorities’s resolution to permit inns and weekly markets to reopen within the nationwide capital, saying the COVID-19 scenario continues to be “fragile” and the menace remains to be “far from over”.

In the letter written in Hindi, the deputy chief minister mentioned that the Delhi authorities will once more ship its proposal on reopening of inns and weekly markets to the lieutenant governor on Tuesday.

“I request you to ask LG not to stop the proposal. If traders start their business, jobs will be generated, and that the condition of economy will improve,” Sisodia, who additionally holds the finance portfolio, mentioned.
