Inflow of 90,000 cubic meters Mettur Dam rises up to 75.83ft

COIMBATORE: Due to the heavy influx, the water-level within the Mettur Dam in Salem district on Sunday stood at 75.83 ft in opposition to the capability of 120 ft.

The influx, which was 55,000 cusecs on Saturday, elevated to 90,000 cusecs this morning, elevating the water level by 5 ft following the discharge of surplus water from Cauvery river in Karnataka, official sources stated.
